Your Mental Health

Mental Wellbeing Matters

Your mental health is critical to your psychological and emotional wellbeing.

It’s important to know that there are professionals and resources to help you if you’re not feeling mentally well. There is always someone to speak with or who can help.

Signs it’s time to seek professional help include:

  • you’ve been feeling sad, down, angry, anxious, depressed, numb or generally ‘not yourself’ all the time, for two weeks or more.
  • the way you’re feeling is affecting your ability to cope at work or at home or in your personal relationships.

Help that is Available

You can start by talking to your GP, a trusted friend or family member who is a good listener. If it’s an emergency and you think your life or someone else’s life is in danger, always call Triple Zero (000).
