ANNOUNCEMENT: COVID-19 – Fee Increase Delayed

The recent outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) has had an unprecedented impact on the Australian workforce and economy.

At this time, our highest priority is making sure members’ health, safety, and workplace rights are protected, which is why we’re reaching out to you to offer our support.

Due to the circumstances and the effect it’s having financially on our members, the AWU Tasmanian Branch has decided to delay the previously advertised fee increase due to take effect on April the 1st.

As the situation is evolving rapidly this decision has been made with short notice. For members who are on Payroll Deductions, we are working tirelessly to make sure that all employers are aware that the scheduled increase has been postponed.

It’s times like this when we need to stand together and support one another.
