One Day Longer……. - The Australian Workers' Union : The Australian Workers' Union

Originally a poem written by AWU Delegate Wayne Pringle inspired by the Boeing dispute in Newcastle. AWU members from Boeing were on strike for 265 days from 22nd June 2005 – 20th February 2006. They manned a picket line at the Williamtown RAAF base north of Newcastle 24/7 for the entire 265-day strike.

One Day Longer has now been arranged into a song by AWU Organiser Paul O’Brien. Paul features on vocals, Guitar, Bass and arranged the video. Paul is supported by AWU Delegate Brandon Smith on Violin and Ross Russell with backing vocals.

One Day Longer is a true Union song, a tribute to all workers who have been on strike and fought for a fair go.
