AWU CELEBRATES 135 YEARS STRONGER TOGETHER!

The AWU WA Branch came together to celebrate it’s 135th birthday with members, delegates and friends from across WA.

Thank you to everyone who attended our events making the union’s 135th birthday such a joyous occasion.

Members travelled from across our state from Perth, Peel, South West, North West, Mid-West, Gascoyne, Goldfields-Esperance and the Great Southern to celebrate 135 years stronger together.

The AWU arrived in force in Fremantle to celebrate 135 years of improving wages, conditions and safety throughout WA. Members signed our Proud to be AWU banner, enjoyed our 135 years cupcakes and cake and left our sausage and bun supplies depleted.

Over our 135 year history AWU members have shaped our nation through their work, their values and by being active in their communities and politics.

Our members have had Australia’s back for 135 years and will continue to for another 135 years.

Moments like these don’t come around often but when they do, we share them with our members because we are stronger together.
