AWU Delegates of the Year

One of the new initiatives to honour members is the Delegate of the Year Award.

This award recognises those delegates who go above and beyond each year to service their members.

This year the award in Victoria was won by Nuwan Ranga Liyanaarachchi for his work at Fletcher Insulation. The award was presented at AWU National Conference. Well deserved, well done Ranga!

    AWU Victoria has described the revelation of under payment at Polytrade to be a national disgrace. Workers were found to be underpaid by approximately $40,000 per year, as well as working a staggering 7 days a week continuously throughout the year.
