AWU Safety Update – Coronavirus (COVID-19)

March 12, 2020

AWU Workplace Health & Safety Alert

12th March 2020

We know that more and more cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) are developing each day and we’re working hard to ensure that AWU members are kept safe at work – and that you’re treated fairly if your workplace is affected.

AWU Organisers are actively working to make sure employers across Queensland are doing everything possible to keep members safe and stand up for their terms and conditions.

We know Queensland Health members are on the frontline and we’re working hard to make sure that every possible precaution is being taken to keep our members safe at work.

With new cases emerging and the situation changing rapidly, we will continue to monitor all developments and ensure Queensland Health is taking every precaution to keep workers safe. Read the update for Queensland Health members here.

If you need any assistance at work due to coronavirus, make sure to contact your AWU Organiser straight away.

For more information please read this flyer – and make sure you share it around your workplace.

We urge you to stay up to date with all official health advice. You can find out the latest information on prevention and protection here.
