Queensland Health EB10 Agreement – Moving Forward to a Vote

After AWU members overwhelmingly voted to give in-principle support to Queensland Health’s final EB10 offer late last year, we’ve been working to complete final drafting of the Agreement so it can be put to a full vote.
Queensland Health were only forced into making a better offer after AWU members refused to accept a sub-standard Agreement and took protected action right across the State.

We’ll be working hard to ensure that the final Agreement reflects exactly what members voted for in December and can be put to a full vote of Queensland Health workers as soon as possible.

In the meantime, all protected industrial action will remain suspended as the final formalities are dealt with.

The Agreement secured by AWU members locks in major wins, including:

  1. Proper backfilling for all operational staff.
  2. An independent review into bullying and harassment.
  3. A 2.5% wage increase, including full backpay and a $1250 sign on bonus.
  4. Real action to improve workplace health and safety.
  5. Better rights for part-time employees.

It’s been a long, hard fight but we’re closer than ever to wrapping up this Agreement and making Queensland Health workplaces better for all AWU members.
