All Aged Care Workers Deserve Retention Payments

With COVID-19 cases continuing to spread across Queensland, the AWU has been hard at work fighting for members who are caring for the most at-risk people during this challenging time.

While introducing a retention payment for some aged care workers is a good first step, we believe that everyone in the aged care industry deserves to be recognised for the incredibly important work you do.

Not only do our Nurses, AINs, and PCWs do an invaluable job, so do all the hard-working aged care staff right across the industry. They are putting their own safety at risk to support some of the most vulnerable members of our society.

We want to make it clear to the Federal Government that all aged care workers deserve a retention payment.
