National Secretary Makes Statement on Proposed Sale of Rocla Pipelines

National Secretary Daniel Walton has made the following statement in relation to a proposed sale of Rocla Pipelines, supporting affected members.

“The proposed sale of the Rocla Pipelines Business in Australia has no doubt caused you concern.

I want you to know your union is fully across the sale process and we are working with Fletcher Building Group on securing the right outcome for our members.

I also want you to know that upcoming industrial actions will not be interrupted, and we will continue to negotiate for the improved agreements you deserve with any new buyer.

The business you work hard for is profitable and the AWU will be representing that to all interested parties.
