"Strong, United, Effective: the AWU" 2003 NSW Delegates Conference

All AWU Greater NSW Branch Delegates are invited to attend the 4th Annual Delegates Conference and Christmas Dinner which will be opened by former NSW Premier Neville Wran.

This year the theme of the Conference is "Strong, United, Effective: the AWU". The conference which will be held on 21 November will discuss the following issues:

• Building and strengthening the AWU

• Campaigning for safer workplaces

• Protecting workers' entitlements

• The year in review

• Workers and the next Federal Election

Speakers confirmed so far include:

• AWU NSW State Secretary Russ Collison

• AWU National Secretary Bill Shorten

• NSW Labor Council Secretary John Robertson

• ACTU Secretary Greg Combet

• Federal Shadow Workplace Relations Minister Craig Emerson MP

• AWU National OHS Unit Director Dr. Yossi Berger

As usual the Annual Delegates Christmas Dinner will follow the conference with former AWU Research Officer and newly elected State MP for Parramatta Tanya Gadiel as the guest speaker.
