Joint AWU & United Steelworkers of America Correspondence to Alcoa on Chinese Labour LawsThe AWU has sent correspondence with the United Steelworkers of America (USW) to Alcoa Global CEO Alain Belda on proposed new labour laws in China.In the correspondence the AWU and the USW urge Alcoa to distance itself from the lobbying being undertaken by major US companies operating in China against a new proposed labour law which if enacted with signifcantly improve working conditions for Chinese workers including those at Alcoa's 15 opertion locations across China.
